  2. Hi teacher!
I chose the number three and number five because they are easier to explain. The number three means that not all appearances. For example, in the case of a person, you must first know it and then you could give your opinion on it. The number five says that you have to do things slowly and correctly before making the fast and wrong.
I have found a good proverb: ''Nothing ventured, nothing gained''. It means that if you don't dare to do something that is risky, you'll never achieve your goal.

  5. Hello teacher! =P
I chose the third and the fourth proverb because I think they are very applicable in everyday life.
Well, the third proverb means for me that you can't judge somebody for his appearance, because he can be all the contrary. And the fourth proverb means for me that you can force someone to do something, but you can't make that person want to do it.
Finally, I found this proverb: "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours". It means "Today for you, tomorrow for me".
    Goodbye!

  6. Hello teacher! I chose the third proverb and the fourth.
    3. You can't tell a book by its cover. That means that: sometimes there are people, things, moments that aren't what they seem, so we shouldn't judge prematurely.
    4. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. That means: you can offer something to someone, like good advice, but you can't make them take it.
My proverb is: Rome wasn't built in a day. That means that we have to be patient when we fail to do something at first, everything has its time.
    I hope you like :)

  9. This time, I will explain what these proverbs mean to me. The first I chose, was the number four, is that you can give advice to anyone but him to take or no.The other proverb is the number five, we must learn before doing things. My saying is if we fight we can lose, but if we don´t do it we are lost, this means that we must not surrender.

  10. Hi teacher!
I've chosen the third and fourth proverbs:
    3. "You can't tell a book by its cover". It means that you can't know a person by what appears to be.
    4. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". I think it means that you can give an advice but you can´t force anyone to comply it.
My proverb is: "Where there's a will there's a way". I think that when a person really wants to do something, he will find a way of doing it.

  11. Hello teacher!
I chose the proverbs number three and number four.I did it because I think that they are the ones that I like more. The proverb number three means that you can´t judge anything from the outside because you can go wrong, and the proverb number four means that if you try to get something, you can not always get it. The other proverb that I chose says: "A friend who helps when one is in trouble is a real friend". It means that only you know real friend when you have a problem.

  12. Hello teacher,I chose the first and third proverb because I think that they are very important and if we apply them, our life will be easier. The first proverb means that everybody have the same destiny, the death. It doesn't matter if you are a famous and rich man or a person who live in the misery. It reminds me of a poem by Jorge Manrique which says "our lives are the rivers that lead down to the sea which is death".The third proverb means that you can't know how is a person if you only see the exterior.A person can look like a terrorist but, however he/she can be the kindest and pacific person that you have ever met. Finally I chose "If you want you can".It's my favourite proverb but I don't know very well if a wrote it correctly. It means that if you wish something with all your strength you can get it.

The proverb number three means that you can not know how is a person only with his/her appearance.
The number five means that you must learn to do something carefully before to do it better.
Other proverb that I like is "Loose lips sink ships" because I always applied to every situation.

The number three, "You can not tell a book by its cover" and means that you can't judge people or things by their appearance.
The number five, "We must learn to walk before we can run." and means that you have to be done starting from the base and to do one thing well done is to know the basics.

  15. 3. "You can't tell a book by its cover."

This one means that you can't judge a person for his or her appearance. You must first know them to judge them.

    5. "We must learn to walk before we can run."
We must start all things by the beginning and by the easy part, no one is born a genius.

My proverb: "It is always darkest before the dawn."

This proverb means that the most difficult time is just before the problem is solved.

  16. Hello teacher, good afternoon! I have chosen the following proverb:
-The fourth proverb, I'm not sure, but from my point of view it means that you can do the things you like. However, you can't order to other people what to do.
-The fifth proverb means that we must begin to learn to do easier things, when we do it, we can start to do more difficult things.
-My proverb: "people who doesn't risk hasn't the right to be wrong".
I have chosen this proverb because I like it and I think its meaning is profound, it is also very interesting for me.
In my opinion, the proverb I have chosen means (more or less) that every people at the begining must have some mistake because we are humans, and humans aren't perfect, we learn while we go wrong. We should do the things we want, without fear to be wrong.

  17. Hello teacher,
I chose the first proverb because it makes me laugh and the third because it is a very good proverb but nobody uses in everyday life.
“Time and tide wait for no man.” This proverb means that things are not done by themselves and we haven't to waste time.
“You can't tell a book by its cover.” This means we can not know how something is, if we only look the outside.
The other proverb that I chose says:
“Practice makes perfect but all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” This means that the perfect is boring.

I chose the the number three and number five.

The number three,"You can't tell a book by its cover."This proverb means that not all are the appearance, for example you can see a person that look good-looking and funny ,but later when you know who are, she or he can be a bad person or can happen otherwise.

The number five,"We must learn to walk before we can run."This proverb means that you have to be patient because the things don't come out right the first time and effortlessly. All in due time =)!

My proverb,"Home is where the heart is"This proverbs means in spanish:"A donde el corazon se inclina, el pie camina."It means that although you want to ignore your heart, finally the feelings are coming from it is the strongest!
